I’m taking a page out of my latest “Books That Rock” pick, “The 4-Hour Workweek” by Tim Ferris.
One of the exercises in the book (which deals with getting over the word “impossible”) is to contact a very high profile celebrity and ask them a question.
The point of this is to start to get rid of the idea that you can’t do things. How many times a day is a project completely destroyed by these thoughts: “I can’t”, “That’s Impossible”, or “That’s a Waste of Time”?
Most of us feel like certain things are out of our reach because we weren’t born into a certain family or because we’re not good looking, or because we don’t have the monetary backing that others have. The point that Tim’s Book makes…and that I’m trying to make
….. is that you need to stop saying that things are too hard… and start using the fact that others think certain things are too hard to your advantage.
The mere thought of “impossible” is enough to narrow your competition.
So my so-called “impossible project” is to contact at least one of five A-List Celebrities.
The cool part….You get to help me pick who we’re going to try and contact.
Post your suggestions in the Comments Sections below, Facebook me at facebook.com/drbenadkins, or twitter me at @benadkins.
I’ll post my progress as we go.
This is going to be fun!
